about
This EP marks the return of C.C.S. after a break from the music scene and it is a 'Comeback' that is clearly both passionate and powerful.
In trying to put a hard couple of years behind them, there are many emotions hidden behind the weight of the music, with a sense of redemption and validation very much at the core of some new songs which clearly mark a step forward for the band. With possibly a stronger and slightly harder approach than before, the attitude of the band is clear, in that nothing is achieved without a fight.
Review from Quenched Unsigned
"This is the three track EP called Comeback from this midland quartet, I have also had the pleasure of seeing these boys live, which if I had any advice would be to see them before they get to big and priced out of the market.
This EP has been worth the wait as each track highlights and showcases the boys skills while showing their sound to everyone who listens to their songs, it has a certain professional feel to each track, which is a change to many EP’s sent in. Each track possessing their rock style, but is coupled with elements of funk somewhat like Pearl Jam.
The Comeback EP is fresh and to the point, the sound is also very crisp, so if you have not seen the boys live please listen to this EP, and see what all the fuss is about, so many people cannot be wrong the list goes on of who have been impressed by Charlie Can’t Surf’s sound.
The track on the Comeback EP that highlights this is ‘Encore,’ it shows all their musical prowess as well as highlighting the dulcet tones of front man Chris, who has a great range in his arsenal, all four individuals of this band are very gifted musicians so check them out."
